He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Monroe Phalen; his children, Mary Jo Hurst (Jason), Matthew Thomas Phalen (Haley), Mariah Ruth Phalen and Sarah Anne Ves (Joshua); his siblings, Mary Alana Kuhn (Robert), James Francis Phalen and Thomas Michael Phalen (Marilyn); his sister-in-law Bonnie Jean Phalen (Dave); and his grandchildren, Trinity Nichole Phalen, Katelynn Marie Phalen, Maryann Ruth Phalen and Abigail Anne Vest. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
