With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Root Baker of Brandon, Mississippi, who passed away on July 27, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Percy Root; her husband Jerry Baker; and her son Ron Baker. She is survived by: her children, Chris Baker (Karen) and Pam Varner (Keith); her grandsons, Joshua Varner and Dylan Varner (Abby); her great grandchildren, Nash Varner and Cruz Varner; and her siblings, Ruth Benton, Betty Root, Jon Root and Jack Root. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brandon Presbyterian Church, 209 S. College St., Brandon, MS 39042.
