He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Spencer and Dora Miner Spencer; and his siblings, Isabel Spencer Saunders (Harrison), Judson Spencer (Idera), Vernon Spencer, Donald Spencer (Chris) and Francis Spencer Powell (J. T.).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Spencer; his grandchildren, Alexander, Spencer Gates, Kyle, Jeffrey (Brianna), Jordan (Coreen), Luke (Brittany), AnnaLee, Rebekah, Samuel, James Fairley and Mary Kathryn Hutcherson (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Parkes, Rowan Fairley, Charlotte, Nora Hutcherson and Millie Fairley.
