He was predeceased by: his wife Ila Ruth Davis Martin; and his siblings, Bernell Wilkinson and Maxwell Martin. He is survived by: his daughter Wendi Joyner (Steve) of Brandon; his siblings, Elyse Greer of Brandon, Barbara Hickman of Gulf Breeze, FL, Patricia Sills of Warner Robins and Rex Martin (Fran) of Pearl, MS; and his grandchildren, Emilie Powers, Mary Clark Joyner and Brian Joyner. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund.
