She was predeceased by: her father Holland Dear; her former husband Burton Lewis, Sr.; her sisters, Lottie Barrett, Sally Greer, Wilma Bridges, Gettis Paul and Mary Lou Arender; and her children, Tommy Lewis, Dwight Lewis and Joan Letz.
She is survived by: her husband Clark Vance; her son Burton Lewis, Sr. (Paulette) of Hattiesburg; her sisters, Anita Smiley, Barbara Mullins and Grace Shivers; her grandchildren, Michael Lewis, Melanie Whitaker, Monica Bridges, Tonya Hudson and Toby Letz (Jack Letz); and her great grandchildren, Bradley Whitaker, Rylee Bridges, Coleman Lewis, Caroline Whitaker Mae Bridges, John Hudson, Ryan Hudson and Laura Cameron. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
