She was predeceased by: her parents, John Toler and Lilie Mae Toler (Flowers); and her son John Carter of Brandon. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Grant, Jordan, Courtney (Jeremy), Colby (Lacey) and Emily (Dalton); her son Gerald Edwin "Jay" Carter, Jr. (Leanna); and her sister Patsy Ashford (Will) of Largo. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home (1360 W Government St, Brandon, MS 39042). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
