He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Collum and Margie Collum; and his brother Max Collum. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Collum; his children, Van Collum, Max Collum (Cheryl) and Julie Parkman (Louie); his grandchildren, Kayla Collum, Jared Collum, Samuel Collum, Michael Nash (Cori), Preston Collum, Taylor Collum, Reed Collum, Mitchell Parkman (Karen), Danielle DuPont (Joshua) and Peyton Parkman; his great grandchildren, Mary Alice Parkman and Jovie DuPont; and his siblings, Gordon Collum (Shelby) and Jan Palmer. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
