He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Hamilton and Ethel Thornton Hamilton. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Tullos (Clay), John Hamilton Jr. (Melita) and Rose Mary Champion (Clyde); his siblings, Becky May, Sammy Searcy and Billy Hamilton; his grandchildren, Amber Phillips, Kerri Hollinsworth, Dylan Hamilton, Sobrina Rushing, Hunter, Justin Jernnigen and Jonna Jernnigen; and his great grandchildren, Logan Phillips and Makayla Phillips.
