She was predeceased by: her parents, Stefan Karl and Cäcilia Meindl Karl; her husband Thomas "Tom" Nelson; her sister Gertraud "Trudy" Ebner (Albin) of Hallein; and her sister-in-law B'Nita Brown (late Gervas Brown) of Brandon, MS.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Nelson (Kathy) of Brandon, MS and Rebecca Johnson (Jeffrey) of Brandon, MS; her grandson Daniel Barnett (Bailey); and her great grandchild Lucy J. Barnett of Pelahatchie, MS.
