She was predeceased by: her parents, Ford Means and Sally Holbrook Means; her husband John McDaniel; and her brother Bob Means. She is survived by: her children, Angela Kathryn Gaddis (Bill) and Marcus Ralph Hutson (Sherrie); her siblings, Mary Kathryn Hagood and Jimmy Paul Means (Betty); her grandchildren, Stephanie Jones, Melissa Stapleton (Matt), Julie Kowalczyk (Zach) and Andrew Gaddis; and her great grandchildren, Chelsea Stapleton, Rylee Stapleton and Hutson Vanderford. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
