She was predeceased by: her father D. C. Wigley; and her husband Berry Hemphill. She is survived by: her sons, Matt Hemphill (Lisa) and Todd Hemphill (Cristy). She is also survived by four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church at 128 Bethel Church Rd. Brandon, MS 39042.
