He is survived by: his wife Shirley Dyess; and his children, Beverly Wright (Stacy), Kay Newell (Sam) and Tipton G. Dyess (Stephanie). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
