He was predeceased by: his parents, George Heindl and Jewel Heindl. He is survived by: his wife Dorian Rogers Heindl; his children, Allison Heindl LeBlanc, Anna Claire Heindl Roberts (Brian), Michael Heindl (Jennifer), Paul Heindl (Adriana) and Joe Heindl (Sarah); his stepdaughters, Wendy Rogers and Nancy Rogers; his grandchildren, Sammy, Elijah, Taryn, Harrison, Nicholas, Annelise, Kali, Haddie, Esli, Ashlyn, Nora, Piper Rose and Elizabeth; his great grandchildren, Jayson and Casen; and his sisters, Catherine May (Lamar), Patricia Ross (Buck), Nancy Lewis and Gloria Bratton (Danny).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Mississippi State University's Farmhouse Fraternity and Gideons International.
