She was predeceased by: her husband Alton J. Mahaffey, Sr.; her sister Billie Fae Martin; and her grandson Jay Shannon Sheppard. She is survived by: her children, Alton J. Mahaffey, Jr. and Donna Fowler; and her grandchildren, Roy Chance Sheppard, Kristy Harris, Alton J. Mahaffey, III and Derek Mahaffey. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
