He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney James and Sara Jane Blaney Smith; and his brother-in-law Paul Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Sharron Foley Boyer; his children, Ramey Smith (Carley) of Oxford, MS, Victoria Rowe (Jeffrey) of Memphis, TN, David Boyer of Granbury, TX and Daniele Hopper (Michael) of Brandon, MS; and his sisters, Martha Gordon of Fort Worth, TX and Liz Moore (Douglas Marshall) of Independence, KS.. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
