She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy McLernon and Everett McLernon; her brother Daniel McLernon; and her husband James Morris Salem. She is survived by: her children, Timothy Salem (Lisa) of Trussville, AL, Jon Salem of Brandon, MS, Betsy Nolan (Kenneth) of Cumming, GA and Jennifer Santoyo (Richard) of Garland, Texas; her pets, Jack and Archie Andrews; her grandchildren, Noah, Brent, Benjamin Salem, Ryan, Berkley, Carson Nolan, Roman, Paul and Sophia Santoyo; and her siblings, John McLernon of Elkhorn, WI and Patricia Stone of Ocala, FL..
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the James M. Salem Memorial Scholarship at the University of Alabama.
