He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Clarence Cooper, Sr. and Clara Cooper Willard; his brother-in-law James Byford; and his great-nephew Cody Byford. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Cooper; his children, Amy Cooper Harbison (David) of Madison, AL and Clarence Cooper, III (Karen Mullis) of Bartlett, TN; his brother Charlie Cooper of Greer, SC; and his grandchildren, Cooper Harbison of Oxford and Allie Harbison of Birmingham, AL..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund for the new sanctuary or to the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
