He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon David Swilley and Leota Long Swilley; and his siblings, Cecil, John David, Tommy Lane and Joycelyn Swilley Welch.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Busick Swilley; his children, Jeff Swilley (Dana) and Jan Swilley Boykin (Howard); his grandchildren, Stephanie Swilley of Brandon, Brittany Boykin Mann (Andrew), Tyler Boykin (Brittany) and Anna Claire Boykin; his great grandchildren, Pierson Boykin, Leyton Boykin, Wynn Mann and Piper Boykin; and his brother Bobby Joe Swilley.
