She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edward Childress Sr. and Martha Elizabeth Cates Childress; her brother William "Bill" Edward Childress Jr.; and her niece Karen Webb. She is survived by: her husband Bob Ponds; her sister Nettie Rebecca Childress Webb (late CB); her children, Vickie Lynne Ponds Watson (Tim) and Robert "Pete" Louis Ponds (Kim); her nephews, Rex Webb, Tony Webb and Curtis Webb; her grandson Justin Rey Ponds; her stepgranddaughter Laurin Agnew Vaughan (Tom); and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Gaige Thomas Agnew, Everett Vaughan and Wesley Vaughan.
