He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Green and Delia Ledbetter Green of Jumpertown; his wife Claudene Stokes Green; and his siblings, Ruby Smart, Frances Moore, Gladys Brown, Myrtle Blassingame, Mae Dean Lambert, Harvey Green, Wallis "Hoss" Green, Bobby Green and James Fred.

He is survived by: his son Sammy Green; his daughter-in-law Cheryl Green; his daughter Wanda Sweeney (Ronnie) of Booneville; his grandchildren, Cammie Caver, Courtney Wilson, Farris Baker (Kirk) and Reed Green; and his great grandchildren, Kate Newport (Tyler), Joseph Caver, Grace Caver, Mallory Wilson, Jordyn Wilson, Sam Baker and Whit Baker.
