She was predeceased by: her parents, Atkins Childers and Edna Trantham Childers; her husband Gordon Hughes; and her brother Billy M. Childers. She is survived by: her siblings, Danny B. Childers, Larry Childers and Carra Blythe (Bill Wilson). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gaston Baptist Church Cemetery.
