He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Stephens and Lela Stephens; his siblings, Danny Stephens and Peggy Hoard; and his parents-in-law, John and Lola Crawford.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Stephens of Booneville; and his siblings, Mike Stephens (Sarah) of Marietta, Kenneth Stephens (Carolyn) of Booneville, Tommy Stephens of Booneville, Stanley Stephens (Barbara) of Marietta and Kernith Vandevander of Booneville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
