Joyce A. Pounders Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce A. Pounders (Booneville, Mississippi), who passed away on March 18, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Azzle Nix and Susie Nix; her husband Roy Pounders; and her brother-in-law Benny Downs. She is survived by: her sons, Mitchell Pounders (Jeanice) and Tony Pounders (Angela); her siblings, A. C. Nix (Eunell), Tommy Nix (Kathy) and Carolyn Downs; and her grandchildren, Beth Hughes (Joey), Jonathan Pounders (Leslie), Stevan Pounders Kelsey (Jordan), Lauren Saucier (Zach), Jennifer Williams (Troy) and Jessica Taylor (Justin). She is also survived by 13 great- grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
