It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Fred Gaines (Booneville, Mississippi), who passed away on October 22, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Evan Gaines and Annie Florence Williams; and his wife Dorothy Jean. He is survived by: his sons, Stan Gaines (Jennifer) of Germantown, TN and Steve Gaines (Candi) of Corinth, MS; his grandchildren, Grant Gaines of Germantown, TN, Anna Kate Wilbanks (Connor) of Corinth and John Thomas Gaines of Corinth; his stepgrandchildren, Courtney Dahlsten (Drew) of Gainesville, GA and Cody Jordan (Katie) of Germantown, TN; and his caregivers, Linda Padgett, Barry Godsey and Linda Dixon. He is also survived by 4 step-great grandchildren.
