He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Barnes and Charlene Barnes; and his daughter Kimberly Barnes. He is survived by: his former wives, Kathy Miller and Margaret "Peggy" McClure; his wife Margaret Barnes; his son Scott Barnes (Denise) of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois; his siblings, Carolyn Lenzini (Dave) of Booneville, Mississippi and Jerry Barnes (Becky) of Booneville, Mississippi; and his grandson Tristan Barnes (Killian Kray) of Zion, Illinois. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Kanab, Utah.
