It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chad Walker (Booneville, Mississippi), who passed away on February 6, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin James and Liza Walker; and his son Jeff Walker. He is survived by: his wife Shelba Walker; his children, Larry Walker (Becky), Gary Walker and Jeanna Sorto (Eddie); his grandchildren, Priscilla Pharr (Corey), Chad Walker II (Lizzy), Charlie Sorto and Molly Sorto; and his great grandchildren, Lexie Pharr, Allie-Kate Pharr and Garison Pharr.
He was a member of the undefeated 1948 Booneville Football Team, and the first player to have a face mask on his helmet.
