He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Smith and Melville Carter Smith; and his siblings, Leone Kent, Palmer Smith, Joe Smith, Arlena Hasel, Mary Ruth Brew, JC Smith and Jesse Graham.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn Smith; his daughters, Mary Nell Smith (Jackie) and Betty Gale Geno (Kent); and his grandchildren, Carter Paul Smith, Kenny Paul Geno, Cora Noel Geno and Carmen Lynn Smith.
