He is survived by: his wife Judy Strong Thornton; his siblings, Bobby Thornton (Patricia) and Shirley Thornton Ruffin (John); and his stepchildren, Wayne Strong, Michael Strong and Annette Raney (David). He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
