She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Nix and Gladys Shephard Nix; her husband Roger Smith; her children, Joey Smith, Roger Dale Smith and Kathy Whittington; and her granddaughter Rebecca Ann Whittington.

She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Howell (Hank) and Lori Wright (Pete). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren, other loving family members, friends, and her faith family.
