He was predeceased by: his parents, William Erwin and Ruby Hutchinson Erwin; and his siblings, William Erwin Jr., Catherine Erwin Morgan, Margaret Erwin Watts, Marie Erwin Smith and Eva Lois Erwin Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Marva Erwin of Bogue Chitto, MS; his daughter Dawn Phillips; his son-in-law Craig of Rio Vista; and his grandsons, James Wait (Kimi) of Colleyville, Joseph Wait (Tiffany) of Oklahoma City, OK and Jonathan Wait (Jennifer) of Carrollton. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Dr NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
