With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Jean Mercier of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, who passed away on June 19, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lavender Owens and Frankie Young Owens; her daughter Regina Leanne Mercier; her brother Frank Henry Owens; and her sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Mercier, Irene Kyzer, Rose Mary Mercier and Roselee Mercier.

She is survived by: her husband Sedgie W. Mercier; and her sons, Jeffery D. Mercier (Maria) and Bradley Mercier. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
