It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Pierce Russell of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, who passed away on February 15, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Huey Pierce and Barbara Greer Russell; his father-in-law Robert Lee Coney; and his sisters, Susan Russell Means and Donna Marie Russell Cupit.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Coney Russell; his sons, David Russell (Kelli) and Clay Russell (Christi); his grandchildren, Ava, Silas, Cole and Reed Russell; his mother-in-law Myrtle Coney Lawson; his sisters, Margaret Johnson (Danny) and Jane Loper (Dana); his brothers-in-law, Ron Means (Ngoc) and W. L. Cupit; and his nieces and nephews, Cydnee Merritt (Victor), Tiffanie Hallman (Kyle), LaChrisha Loper, Huey and Christopher Loper.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Baptist Children's Village (Dickerson Place) in his memory.
