He was predeceased by: his parents, Zeb Reeves and Clara Reeves; his former wife Rhodie Brown Reeves; his wife Viola Dunn Reeves; and his siblings, Zeb, Horace and Lura Mae Thompson.
He is survived by: his sons, Wayne Reeves and Billy Ray Reeves; and his grandchildren, Tami Thornhill (Scott), Chris Reeves, Billy Reeves (Sarah) and Alan Reeves (Miranda). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
