With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Opal Martin of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleveland A. Smith and Ethel Norman Smith; and her sister Norma Dean Smith. She is survived by: her husband Phillip R. Martin, Sr.; her children, Phil Martin, Jr., Renee, Mechelle Martin, Tim Martin and Ashley; her siblings, Wade Smith (Teresa), Sally Smith, Jane Gill (Jerry) and Dale Allred; her grandchildren, Brittney Martin Mofley, Courtney Martin Krogel, Michael Martin, Shiloh Martin, Summer Martin and Aiden Martin; and her great grandchildren, Ben Mofley, Addy Mofley, Gabe Mofley, Abel Krogel, Jossy Mofley, Elsie Krogel, Ellie Montgomery, Marly Montgomery and Ashton Montgomery. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Riverwood Family (76 US-51, Bogue Chitto, MS 39629). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
