She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Gaines; her parents, Marion O. Rush and Ordie I. Chunn Rush; and her son Harold Gaines. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Thomas, Rebecca Murry (Larry), Dana Pickens (Terry), Lester Gaines (Linda), Kenneth Gaines (Betty) and David Gaines (Sandra). She is also survived by 42 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Liberty Baptist Church (1298 Co Rd 107, New Albany, MS 38652).
