He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Grommes and Laverna Grommes; his in-laws, John and Mary Jane Zinzer; and his brothers-in-law, James Wheelhouse, Richard Dahlberg, James Gregory, Joseph Millen and Jeff Zinzer.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Grommes; his children, Joseph Grommes (Tara) and Jennie Butler (Matthew); his grandchildren, Hailey Grommes, Austin, Gracie Kallembach, Shayla, Jorjia Butler, Cole and Madison Butler; his sister Sandra Wheelhouse; and his siblings-in-law, John Zinzer (Brenda), Sharon Zinzer, Cathie Gregory and Yvonne Brozenec. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
