He is survived by: his wife Vickie Thurmond (Dollar); his children, Brian Thurmond (Amy) and Laura Chandler (John); his grandchildren, Clayton, Garett Thurmond, Sadee and Austin Chandler; his mother Billie Ruth Thurmond; and his siblings, Mike Thurmond (Doris), Charlotte Ketchum (Danny) and Sherrye Meadows (Derek). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
