With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rhett Laurence Fontenelle of Biloxi, Mississippi, born in San Antonio, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 19, 2024 at the age of 60. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Rhett Laurence may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his brother Chad Michael Fontenelle. He is survived by: his parents, Dr. Larry J. Fontenelle and Brenda Fontenelle; and his siblings, Michele McLeod (Doug), Leslie Howarth (Bobby), Renee Davis (Henry), Paulette Starks (Robert), Lawrence J. Fontenelle (Brooke), Jarrod P. Fontenelle and Jason Fontenelle. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews; and 7 great nieces and nephews.
Rhett loved dogs, so in lieu of flowers, the family requests that anyone who would like to make a donation make it to the Humane Society of South Mississippi at 2615 25th Ave, Gulfport, MS 39501.
