He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmitt and Redus; his siblings, Truitt, Floy Mimms and Eloise Hardee; his in-laws, Jacob and MaryEllen Douthit; and his brother-in-law Dwight Douthit.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his siblings, Ford (Eunice) and Charlotte Clark (Ray); his sister-in-law Dara Merkinson; his sons, Scott (Debra) and Jeff (Romy); and his stepchildren, Sean Smith (Janice) and Dena Gambler (Chris). He is also survived by four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mississippi Police Benevolent Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
