He was predeceased by: his son Tony Davis; his parents, Jesse L. Davis Sr. and Claudia Mae Davis; and his brothers, James "Bell" Davis, Curtis "Rock" Bennett and Donald "Poppy" Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria J. Davis; his children, Jesse L. Davis III, Padraic Davis (Natalie Kemp), Stephanie and Gennifer Davis; his siblings, Michael Davis, Thomas Davis (Tonetha), Phillip Davis (Gwendolyn) and Vennetta A. McCray; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Presley, Bayou La Batre and Gloria Bennett of Aurora, CO. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
