He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Hutchins and Ollie Mae Franklin; his children, Mark Anthony and Joann Hutchins; his siblings, Kate Hall and Percy Hutchins Jr.; and his grandparents, Bud Franklin and Mable Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Hutchins of Gulfport, MS; his sons, James Hutchins Jr. (Tina) of Beaumont, TX and Jerrod Heater (Leah) of Gulfport; his stepdaughters, Sabrina Dennison (Jerimiah) of Providence, KY and Jackie Dennison of Providence, KY; and his sister Gertha Caldwell of Oakland, CA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
