He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Lund and Isac "Ike" Thone; his siblings, Evelyn Stehl (Don), Wilma Slater (Jerry), Ron Thone and Terry Thone (Cathy); and his daughter-in-law Lorena Thone.
He is survived by: his children, James Thone of Gautier, MS, Gary Thone (Donna) of Biloxi, MS, Debbie Geroux (Kerry) of Hattiesburg, MS and Kenny Thone (Larry Federico) of Metairie, LA.; his siblings, Janice Swietek (John) of LaSalle and Jerry Thone (Janet) of Lathrop, CA; and his sister-in-law Barb Thone of Ozarks, MO.. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lutheran Church (2004 Pass Rd, Biloxi, MS 39531). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Biloxi National Cemetery (400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39531).
