He was predeceased by: his parents, David Hill (Matilda Hill) and Helen Hill; and his siblings, Matilda Rogers, Connie Guagliardo, Mae Theriot, Linda Mathieu, Turner Hill Sr., Henry Hill, Augie Hill Sr., Lawrence Hill Sr., David Hill Jr. and Darlene Hill.

He is survived by: his children, Fred L. Hill Jr., Suzanne Bates (Bubba), Jesse Hill and Elizabeth Hill; his grandchildren, Jessica Hill and Gabriel Stumph; his children, Rambo, Conan, Indy and Ozzy; his godchildren, Heath St. Amant, David Mullen, Nanda Gardache and Timmy Mathieu; his sister Shirley Mullen; and his sisters-in-law, Romeena Hill, Ethel Hill and Cynthia St. Amant.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations in his memory to be made to the American Heart Association.
