She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Gordon DeRouen and Catherine Belton DeRouen; and her parents-in-law, Dr. Elmer Lawrence Gaudet, Sr. and Dorothy Kloppenburg Gaudet. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Elmer Lawrence Gaudet, Jr.; her daughter Catherine Gaudet Sliman (Richard) of Gulfport, MS; her grandchildren, Richard Spencer Sliman of Jackson, MS and Mary Catherine Sliman of Gulfport; and her siblings-in-law, Dr. Edward Leon Gaudet (Mary Jane) of Natchez and Dorothy Gaudet Rainer of Natchez. She is also survived by three nieces and a nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation in the memory of Dorethea Gaudet.
