He was predeceased by: his spouse Quet Ha; his son Giap Hoang; and his sibling Khoai Hoang. He is survived by: his children, Thuy-Anh Hoang, Loc Hoang, Phuong Hoang, Tam Hoang and Phat Hoang. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
