He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Maxie Ward and Rebecca Hall Ward; and his brothers, Robert M. Ward, Paul Wilson Ward and Terry Lee Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Lena Hood Ward; his children, Norman Ward (Devona) of Big Creek, Becky Simpson (Jeff) of Big Creek and Barbara Ward (Lisa) of Big Creek; his brother Don Ward (Irma) of Big Creek; his grandchildren, Daniel Simpson (Terri), Blake Simpson (Britian) and Lilli Bailey; and his great grandchildren, Grayson Simpson and Ellie Blake Simpson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
