He was predeceased by: his mother Eloise Stewart Avery; and his grandparents, Ruth Avery, William Redding and Mamie Blaylock Stewart. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Rounsaville Avery; his children, Monica Norwood of Big Creek, Haley Brocato (Dillon) of Tupelo and Cam Avery (Tina) of Springhill; his sister Lydia Cain (Terry) of Eupora; and his grandchildren, Thomas Dale Avery, Kenneth Redding Avery, Allison Michelle Avery, Abygale Grace James, Tucker Lane Weldon, Avery Tripp Norwood, Elleigh Beth Brocato and Dillon Ridge Brocato.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
