He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kenneth Rankin, Sr. and Groviene Carter Rankin; his son John Kenneth Rankin "Zane"; his siblings, Dorothy Rankin Leo and Bruce Rankin; and his stepdaughter Michelle Price.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Rankin; his children, Blair Rankin (Robin) and Casey Rankin; his stepson Darrell Price; and his siblings, Joy Liese and Jimmy Rankin (Donna).
