She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Robert Wesley Nokes, Jr. (Stephanie) and Renee Van Namen; her grandchildren, Wes Nokes (Heather), Joe Dan Nokes, Claire Conn, Rob Van Namen (Ally) and Laura Leigh Parker; her sister Jeanette Graham; her husband Robert Wesley Nokes Sr.; her parents, Woodfin Hester and Mabel Hester; her brothers, Ed, Oliver and Austin Hester; her great grandchildren, Landon, Luke, Lex Parker, Remi, Reed, Rush Conn, John Ryan and Heidi Nokes; and her grandchild Adler Van Namen.

The family requests memorials be made to Benoit Union Church.

She was a true force in my life and I will always remember her love of life, vibrant personality, love of laughter, her smile/voice/bear hugs, & wonderfully positive outlook in general. I respected her so. She had loving views on life, family and community. I wish I could be there to celebrate her life with you all, but I cannot. Know that I will be there in spirit.
