She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee and Annie Bland Cooksey; her husband Clint Burleson; her daughter Jimmie Burleson; and her siblings, Sammy Cooksey, Robert Cooksey, Grace Cook, Ann Bordeaux and Anita Butler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Carpenter of Greenville, Patricia Tharp (T. A.) of Isola and Teresa Holloway (Mike) of Belzoni; and her sisters, Flora Baugh of Brandon, Mary Baugh of Starkville and Jessie Hood of Guntown. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
